Bird wings

I can't take any credit for these beauties, as my Mum spent hours making these for my daughter. I found the original inspiration from this blog and Mum to took it to whole new level.

She stitched each layer of feathers all the way around so they didn't fray and she added elastic loopholes at the ends of the wings for the fingers to slip into.

Also, we didn't like the way the ribbon tied round the child's neck, so instead she used a long length of ribbon so we could tie it around the waist and tummy.

Luckily, Mum had plenty of scrap material and far too much time on her hands! ;o)
